    Hi Rick Reserach,

i think it was from the years 1995 up to now.

It is difficult to get information about that.

But the items are looking beautiful.

    Another nice boards!?

What service is this French general?

PS - I think that this topic must be edited to "Shoulderbords and Ranks for High ranked officers (Marshals, Generas, Admirals etc.), around the world". So, everyone will be able to show such boards from private collections and topic will not be so large as with officers boards.? ;)

    Hello gentlemen,

I show you the 4 star general army in germany, for dress suite

    so called "4 Sterne General"

an offical: "Gerneral des Heeres", Ausgeanzug.

It is handmade from boullion, the embroidery is three dimensional.

The picture is bad, the thing is perfect.

    Hope you like it.

    Thanks.

    Hi Elvis,

I try it with a little bit corrected picture:

Sorry, but it is not the "Ausgehanzug", it is for the "Gesellschaftsanzug".

    Hi speedytop - hi Uwe,

thanks for helping and for your comments.

    I have seen your Hungary-General.

I am sure, that the Austrian - Army is using the same lace (gold braid) for their shoulder-bords.

I try to find a foto, it takes a few days.

    Comming again.

    People's Republik of Hungary

    Lieutenant General

    Uwe,

The boards are the same as those used by generals during the HUPR days and for generals after the change of regime in 1989. There was an interim star used until 1992 and then the star on the boards you posted came into use. They are still in use today.

    Regards,

    Gordon

    Gordon,

I have received them directly from the general, can be in the middle of the 90s.

But it is then the Republic of Hungary (1989 - ), not the Peoples Republic of Hungary ohmy.gif ( - 1989)

    Regards

    Uwe

    Uwe,

I agree. Perhaps what I said was not clear. The Republic of Hungary came into being in 1989. For two years a lot of interim badges, medals, including some from the days of the HUPR, and rank stars were worn while new items were designed. In 1991 the rank stars you posted were adpoted and remain in use up to the present time. They strongly resemble the rank stars used during the Austro-Hungarian Empire days.

    Regards,

    Gordon
