have seen this one only a handfull of times in the literature but never held one in my hand.

my knowedge on the award and this particular cross is limited, perhaps i can get some help of you guys

I'm afraid I don't really know all that much about this decoration, but I did find this photograph in my archives that at least shows the ribbon:

That ribbon looks like "Baden" to me.

I?ve seen a Waffenring- cross just short time ago on a medal bar wiht a plain green ribbon.

Frankly, I've only seen that one on a ribbon. It may or may not be the correct ribbon.

I'm sorry to say I cannot help on this one. I've rarely ever seen the piece and not mounted or with a ribbon. An obscure and tough one to find!

His nickname is "tunnelmolch" and he often sells fakes, I think he only sells fakes It is Mr.Wilfried Freitag from Bad Driburg who is well known in germany for faked battle clasps, new build medal bars and all other kinds of (expensive) fakes.... he has always some thousand auctions on militariaweb.com under the name "nordwind" - TAKE CARE!!!

Ahhh, he is the guy who sells medal ribbon at the shows... I guess medal bars are in his blood
