Brian Wolfe Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Hello everyone,While on yet another collecting sufari I purcased three photos depicting machine guns. This first one seems to be a machine gun crew participating in some sort of exercise. In the background of the photo there are several unifomed people standing around so I think this is some sort of training exercise. I believe the gun is the MG34 but I would like some conformation from more knowledgable members.Any help with the identification of the gun's crew such as unit etc. would be greatly appreciated as well.ThanksBrian
Brian Wolfe Posted February 15, 2009 Author Posted February 15, 2009 Here is a closer view of the crew.Brian
Brian Wolfe Posted February 15, 2009 Author Posted February 15, 2009 My last photo is of a stamp on the back of the photo.I'm not sure if this is of any help in the identification of the time period of the photo but I have included it anyway.RegardsBrian
Naxos Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Yes Brian, MG-34 on Lafette-34, with telescope sight.Hardy

Brian Wolfe Posted February 15, 2009 Author Posted February 15, 2009 Many thanks HArdy.Interesting that the mark appears to be of 1970s vintage.I wonder if the photo shop reproduced old photos for sale to collectors?RegardsBrian
