    A Soldier - Isaac Rees (Reece) 1790's

    Recommended Posts

    Hi

Another ancestor of mine - Isaac Reece (Rees) was a solider in

British Miltitary - Im guessing regarding royal military Canal, Dover

or the era of that time.

He was married in Dover in 1798 - and being garrison town.

Would the British have any records of soliders that fought, were

in the British Arms - of that particular era.

If anyone can piontme into the right direction - in possibly to locate

military records for this soldier - it would be appreciated.

    Hi Jack,

Have a look at the National Archives

    http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalog...esindex.asp?j=1

May not be too much use as I think you may either have to visit or write for information but it will show you what records are available.
