Wild Card Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Gentlemen,I have posted this one before, but it seems appropriate to bring it up again here. This is one which was kindly identified by Prof. Lundstr?m as having belonged to Otto von Strahl, Adjutant, Royal Hoffmeister, Kammerherr, and Hoffmarshall to HRH the Landgraf von Hessen und bei Rhine.
Noor Posted October 13, 2010 Author Posted October 13, 2010 After Deurelle posted up so great trapezoid bar, I think I would bring up this old post for these again. Here is my new bar: - Order of the Red Eagle, (Rote Adler Orden) - Order of the crown (Kronenorden) - Commemorative Medal for the Franco-Prussian War 1870/71, non combatants (Kriegsdenkmünze 1870/71 Nichtkämpfer) - Commemorative Cross for 1866, non-combatants (Erinnerungskreuz 1866 für Nichtkämpfer) - Kaiser Wilhelm I Centenary Medal (Kaiser Wilhelm I Zentenarmedaille) 1897
David M Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 so that still is for just 1 decoration, right? or did the lippe deco's have the same ribbon, I mean this is so broad-looking... and home made Schaumburg-Lippe wooden bar <img src="http://gmic.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/speechless.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="speechless.gif" /> . HeikoGrusdat Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 David , it is for 2 decorations. In Schaumburg-Lippe some awards / orders had the same ribbon colours (as in most other states and duchies too...) - in this case here there are some possible combinations and we will never know for shure...

Still looks prett though!

seeheld Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 I'm really deep impressed. Specially about the mecklenburgian bars. It's should be not so difficult to identify the former wearer. Unfortunately I'm at the moment not at home and have no possibilitys to search in my list. Regards from Taipei / Taiwan Seeheld
seeheld Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Here is my not only one, but my most beautyful one... Ernst von Eschwege Regards Seeheld
Komtur Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 ... Here is my not only one, but my most beautyful one... That one is quite cute I´ve got only a few, for instance that typical bavarien one. To wear with or without medals, unfortunately I purchased it without. Even if the ribbons are glued, it looks origin. Regards, Komtur.
