    In Norway the signed trade agreement with Spain on 13 June 1936, according to which both governments mutually most-favoured nation were appointed, was disrupted. At the beginning of December 1937 was organized in Oslo a Week's Assistance to Spain whose activities in pro of the Republic were spread for 110 Norwegian towns, "glorious soldiers of the Cause Nacional" (in rhetorical expression of the period) also received gum boots and escarpines thick of simpatizantes Norwegians. At the beginning of 1938 the General Assembly of the Labour Party led by the first Nygaardsvold, the one which took part about 600 delegates of the workers organizations of all the country approved an assistance of 100.000 crowns for the republican cause, popular support that continued right up to the end of the war in spite of local scandals as the arrest by troops of Franco in the summer of 1937 of the lieutenant Randulf Dalland, councilor of the Bergen Town hall
