    Hi Jan Arne,

Yes, definitely the same fittings. What was the confirmation that the EK was by Petz & Lorenz. ? I know the same fittings can be found on KVK1 and Spanish Crosses, also Sports Badges. I think the Sports Badges can be found with the P&L maker mark, but not any of the others.

If the Sports Badge association is being used to identify these we have to be careful. Remember the "Wernstein" badges were identified this way because of the Wernstein Sports Badge fittings, and turned out to be from Wiedmann in the end !

    Hello all

I am a new user on this forum so I apologise if I am posting this in the wrong place.

I have a Naval Destroyer Badge by Schwerin - my Uncle was an avid collector of such items and these items have come into my posession since his death. :(

This particular item I believe to be authentic and would like to get it valued. It has Berlin 68 on the back. I live in the UK and would like to be able to go to a medal specialist and have a valuation with the view to selling it to a collector.

I would appreciate the help everyone. I have got photo but not too good as my camera is crap!!!

    Thanks

    K

Aha,so your the one that got that badge.Very nice Gordon, and very rare. The few examples i have seen of this badge have the "4" stamped on the pin. This is the first unmarked example i have seen and it is in very fine condition too.

    Congratulations,Martin.

This photo arrived today. When i viewed it on line,i figured a nice photo of the Destroyer badge in wear,so i purchased it.After close inpsection on arrival i was surprised to find that the badge is of the embroidered type.I know these badges were produced. After going through my references,i have to admit that i think this is the first photograph i have seen of the emroidered Destroyer badge in wear.

    Regards,Martin.

And ANOTHER oddity is that he is wearing a single ribbon bar (EK2?) in 15mm width-- which was not authorized. Normal singles were 25mm wide. THAT is quite weird and wonderful enough to merit inclusion in the eventual Final Online Ribbon Bars Article, with your permission.
