Oh I have a picture of Lammers in my collection.
No.3 is the Lippe-Detmold house order with swords (no idea which class, as he is wearing the 2nd class at the neck)
No.4 is the Lippe-Detmold war merit cross.

...and I know, why he got the Lippe-Detmold house order 2nd class with swords:

There was recently an interesting article in our local newspaper about it.
The adjudant and personal friend of the former Prince Leopold IV of Lippe-Detmold Georg Freiherr von Eppstein got arrested and deported by the Nazis in 1942.

Leopold IV. tried to convince Lammers that von Eppstein would be allowed to emigrate to The Netherlands, which was denied.
For this Lammers received for sure the 2nd class of his house-order without success.
Georg von Lammers died in the KZ Teresienstadt in 1942.

...and another intersting fact:
Lammers was in the same regiment as von Eppstein during WW1.

Here is the article about the Lammers-von Eppstein story (in German):

I got this from the Axis forum:

8-place bar:

Ehenremkreuz - 1934
Schlesisches Bewährungsabzeichen 2. kl,
Ehrenzeichen des DRK 2. kl,
Ungarisches Ehrenmedaille des Weltkrieges 1914-1918 mit Schwertern

11-place Bar:

EKII 1914

Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1 Oktober 1938 mit Spange «Prager Burg»,

Alright... let me get this straight.  Prince Leopold awarded Lammers the Lippe Detmold House Order 2nd Class to allow his jewish friend, George von Eppstein, to emigrate to the Netherlands.  Instead, Lammers sent von Eppstein to a concentration camp where he died later that year.

There are some things in history that really puzzle me.  Like for example... why the Prince didn't go up to this nazi after his friend was deported and rip the cross right off his neck.  Interesting how Lammers posed for the photo above wearing the Lippe cross as if this turd of a human being had actually done something worthwhile to deserve it.

Hello , Lammers was a contemptible person , as Dr Frick ,and others ,he was a Lawyer , a in principle ,custodian of the Law .far from this ,he Crooked the Laws and the Right . He accused high rank Soldiers of being bribed but himself was bribed. he gained a well deserved place on the gallows but they were benevolents and only received 20 years . regarding the Prince , note that von Eppstein was deported to Theresienstadt , the Modelic Lager for Prominenten Juden , Camp which the propaganda presented as a kind of Spa for those Jews of Importance . possibly the Prince was deceived . It was not until the very end of the War that the real nature of Terezin was discovered

Well, Prince Leopold IV. was not appreciated by the Nazi party, too.

There is a (true) funny story, that Leopold IV. denied to welcome Adolf Hitler on his castle in Detmold.
Instead he met him at the "Detmolder Hof", a hotel closeby the castle 🙂

Leopold IV. tried to convince Lammers in an open letter to him, by Lammers replied that he cannot do anything to get Georg von Eppstein free.

Von Eppstein used to be married with a non-jewish lady, but when she died, his protection died, too.

Solomon , Prince Leopold was also not appreciated by William II , the Emperor lost a quarrel with Leopold ,a dinastic question in which the Prince had the reason.

Oh yes, indeed. 🤣
Wilhelm II.´s sister Viktoria married Prince Adolf zur Schaumburg-Lippe in 1890. Wilhelm II. only agreed, because it was forseen that Adolf also would take over the principal Lippe-Detmold.
In fact he only ruled Lippe-Detmold for a few years until Grafregent Ernst zur Lippe-Detmold took over Lippe-Detmold in 1897 and handed over his power to his son Prince Leopold IV. zur Lippe-Biesterfeld in 1905.
Prince Adolf zur Schaumburg-Lippe lost finally the lawsuit against it in 1905, although the Emperor Wilhelm II. interfered a lot.
And this fight for the small principal Lippe-Detmold was also the reason, why Wilhelm II. never visited the castle in Detmold.

Today it´s a quite funny story...I have a few books from that time dealing with this lawsuit in my collection...

Hello Solomon ,Thanks very much ! Today is a funny story but in those times was a serious matter , In the Federal Empire the Emperor and King was basically a primus inter pares and the federate Princes were at least in theory Equals respect to certain matters. William II lost with frequency this perspective , sometimes with minor consequences others not
