Claudius Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Greetings; I'm embarrassed to say I can't figure out what this word is. Some of the letters are missing and I can't figure out what it should be. Here is the word in the sentence. Bei einem nächtlichen Bombenflug ve…glückte tödlich der Flugzeugführer You can see how it is important to full understanding because in this one sentence there is a lot of information. thank you,
Naxos Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 "verunglückte" is my guess... /Michael Agree, verunglückte tödlich = fatal accident
Great Dane Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 And the whole sentence would then be something like: "During a nightly bombing raid, the pilot was fatally wounded" /Michael
Komtur Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 And the whole sentence would then be something like: "During a nightly bombing raid, the pilot was fatally wounded" /Michael Genau so würde ich es auch übersetzen Grüße, Komtur.
Claudius Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 You guys are great! Thank you Michael (Great Dane), Thank you Naxos, and Thank you Komtur. It was said before by others, and will be likely said in the future, but I will say it again now. I truly appreciate the people on this forum and their willingness to provide assistance. My sincere regards, Claudius
