The regiment was withdrawn from Verdun on July 17th and went back to the Carpathian front. I have a Sterbebild from another 1st company member who was killed on that same date. Chip Posted July 6, 2011 Share Posted July 6, 2011 (edited) Chris, You must be looking for the same ones I am. Have you noticed that if they say "Verdun" on them, the price nearly triples? I have also noticed that many of the men were originally in other infantry regiments. I guess it makes sense when you consider that this regiment wasn't formed until 1915.
