Heres one i just picked up Found some research

Uss Twiggs was on Radar picket of okinawa a single Japanese plane dropped a torpedo hitting # 2 magizine then circled and dove on a Kamikazi mission hitting ship ship burts into flame sinking within the hour

Hi Scott,

Very interesting group to a Sailor who almost made it through the whole war; the Navy declared him KIA with in two months of the USS Twiggs sinking. Did they not normally wait a year before declaring an MIA dead? Thank you for sharing.
