Guest pikemedals Posted December 23, 2011 Share Posted December 23, 2011 hi all. i just got a single ww2 africa service medal name as wn159p.i know that pefix wn is for the woman navy but the medal has no name on it. can anyone help me on this.can this medal be research only with the number ? Usually, if on Home duty they received the War and Africa medals. Interestingly, the Africa is 1 oz. of silver - to my knowledge only Canada and S.A.. used silver for service medals.
