ID please - is this Royal Navy button?

Hi all,

Here is one button and I am not able to ID it. Because box where it was in consist as well UK buttons, I would like to check under this subforum as well. So lads who know their Navy well, is this old button British or not?

It looks like a Chrysanthemum around the anchor so could possibly be from Japan.....

I've had a look in Rank and Rate by E C Coleman and there's nothing similar worn by Royal Navy officers.

The Japanese Imperial Navy appear to wear a button with a small Chrysanthemum over the top of the anchor so I doubt it is Japanese.
