Chris Boonzaier Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Over the years I have often tried to float the thought that the simple Ehrenkreuz has a hidden reservoir of fantastic signatures. Think of it... 1934-35... the party was pushing their own people into public office all over.. I had just had this thought again today, and as fate would have it, this was the very next doc i fished out....
Chris Boonzaier Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 To save you the googling.... this is what I found.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolf-Heinrich_Graf_von_Helldorf
hucks216 Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 The Ehrenkreuz is indeed an underrated source for signatures (until this thread anyway!) and a lot of the time the dealers don't do their homework when it comes to these humble documents, presumably thinking that no-one of note would possibly sign them. That example of Helldorf that you have posted is a great example and I have also seen such citations bearing hand signed signatures of Guderian, von Brauchitsch and Dollmann to name just a few.
