Looks like this posthumous army Purple Heart was manufactured by Rex Products Company somewhere between 1942 and 1943. Unfortunately I don’t have any additional info about Robert P McGuire. I feel its made to decieve if named after a KIA or it may be a WIA engraved by the soldier later . McGuire Correct? I wonder if there were any government specifications for engraving ... But of course I will agree that P separately in the middle without dot is not your usual engraving style ...
