JapanX Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 (edited) Something nice, very rare, old (late Meiji) and incomplete … Most likely the box is modern replica... Either that or this is some new variation of the box for 2nd class that I`ve never seen before Edited June 27, 2012 by JapanX
JapanX Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 Beautiful! Indeed! Even with these chips (which are quite interesting, since they demonstrate to us the texture of silver under the enamel )!
JapanX Posted September 24, 2012 Author Posted September 24, 2012 Another 2nd class from Meiji epoch (most likely for Russo-Japanese War). This time it is full set.

Brian Wolfe Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Some items in life are things of beauty and a joy to behold, these would fall under that catagory. Thank you for sharing them with us. Regards Brian
kaigunair Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 So in the breat badge, some of the rays yellow but on the neck badges (and ribbons) all of the rays are red?
JapanX Posted September 25, 2012 Author Posted September 25, 2012 (edited) So in the breat badge, some of the rays yellow but on the neck badges (and ribbons) all of the rays are red? Exactly 32 rays: 20 red ones (four bunches - 5 rays in each) and 12 yellow ones (four bunches - 3 rays in each) Red rays are part of the base star - yellow rays are part of superimposed diagonal construction. JapanX Posted October 2, 2012 Author Posted October 2, 2012 Up to $35 000... Price (of course) is a function of the set condition and attribution ;)
