    Great photos Morten and fitzceraldo.:)

The data base of cap tallies is growing bigger each week.

I won a small photo lot at auction of a young man who originally served on the Torpedoboot Leopard.

The photos are still in the mail but I thought I would post a preview of one of the photos. I will post scans of the rest when

    they arrive.

    Cheers,

    Larry

I have this little set of pictures, cert etc that all came together.

Apparently the citation was issued when Heinrich was attached to 2 Sicherungsdivision under Befehishaber der Sicherrung West, which was based at Souverain-Moulin, Boulogne in 1941. The citation is signed by Kapitan zur See Max Freymadi. (That's what I was told when I got them).

    Here's Heinrich's portrait photo:

Here's a couple of small pictures that came with the group:

A press photo, with the reverse:

A small photo of the crew all together, along with the rear where everyone has been named:

    CCF24122017_00006.jpg

And the citation for his Minesweeper badge

    CCF24122017_00007.jpg

I also have the cap tally, chest eagle, Donald duck eagle cap badge and the Minesweeper Badge.

I have no idea what ship he may have been on although I did find this chart of his division. Also I did a painting of the group (sorry not really on topic but they all sort of sit together)

I have now received the rest of the small photo set of the person in this photo. To my delight it also came with two typewritten pages

highlighting his long and very interesting career. A lot of research for me to do.

    Will post the photos first.

    Cheers,

    Larry

His very interesting career. No name attached, only his Stammroll number.

If anyone wants to have a go at decyphering any of the text I would be very grateful.

    Cheers,

    Larry

This is my (rough and rapid) translation Larry

While I served in the Reichsmarine and Kriegsmarine.docx

Wonderful! Thank you very much for the time and effort you put into doing the translation.:)

I have many questions regarding his service record but this is not the right thread to do that.

I will probably transfer this to a new thread for discussion.

    Thanks once again,

    Larry

    Hi Larry!
Thanks for the comment and good information that I had not checked before I posted a picture. Well this picture is not quite normal then ?? Picture is the same size as used in the soldier book.
    Cheers, Morten.
