Mervyn Mitton Posted December 11, 2012 Share Posted December 11, 2012 I thought this was an interesting old shell case - used by the South African Artillery during the Desert campaign in 1940 in the Western Desert. Egypt, Tunisia, Libya. Someone has picked it up - probably at the time - and mounted a Sth. African Signals badge. The various markings on the base are interesting.
