utopis Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Good evening, I would like to hear your opinions on this set of the order of the auspicious clouds since originals are only rarely encountered. My experience on these orders isn't sufficient and as I mainly collect third Reich stuff I learned to double check everything before buying. An evaluation would be nice, too (maybe based on recent auction results). Best Regards

JapanX Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Yes, this is authentic 2nd class of Auspicious Clouds Order set that was issued in 30s. Evaluation... Hmmm... With two-digit number of seller feedbacks (between 2006 and 2013!!!) ... I think the hammer price will be a bargain ... Again mit herzlichem Gruß, Nick

And if it wasn't enough it is an eastern European seller. Well, I really hope that it won't go to high up. By the way I wouldn't buy it either if I had no contact there that can take it personally. Thank you for your help.
JapanX Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 And if it wasn't enough it is an eastern European seller. ... and not our usual eastern European seller With only 22 feedbacks (and only one feedback as a seller!) this one is ready to ship to US, but he "may not ship to Russian Federation" http://www.ebay.com/itm/Japanese-Manchukuo-Order-of-the-Auspicious-Clouds-/330858218267?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d08afc31b
utopis Posted January 15, 2013 Author Posted January 15, 2013 Try to file a complaint at your local police department in the US if your new catch from Ukraine didn't arrive. They'll have a good laugh. Ah and look he doesn't accept paypal if it's over 500$...

922F Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Note this is the 2nd or 3rd time on offer --- & see the other item from this seller!
drclaw Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) Yeah I saw this one too but .... seller is Ukraine ... and accepts only international money transfer over $500. You might well score a bargain. Personally, I'm going to send my funds to that nice Mr Solomon Mbuto from the Nigerian Central Reserve Bank. He has $US 20 million that he needs to urgently store according to the email he sent me. Edited January 16, 2013 by drclaw
JapanX Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Note this is the 2nd or 3rd time on offer --- & see the other item from this seller! This is his 2nd attempt ... Poor guy ... Non-paying buyers are everywhere

JapanX Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Sold for $2125... If I remember correctly last time (first attempt ) the winning bid reached $3000 mark ... Undoubtedly this is a new, "all times low" price for 2nd class Clouds!
utopis Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 Yeah well it would be if you would actually get something. I asked the seller if I could pay in person but to this day I got no response. But there was a 3rd class set offered by a seller in Japan for $3000 - not sold.
JapanX Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 (edited) I asked the seller if I could pay in person but to this day I got no response. This story sounds familiar Russian friend of mine who has "Kiev connections" asked him about the possibility of "in person" deal. Same story - no response. Edited January 21, 2013 by JapanX

JapanX Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) This time it was sold for $2600 Market is in highly volatile state I am waiting (with great anticipation ) for the next attempt ... Edited February 4, 2013 by JapanX

utopis Posted January 17, 2014 Author Posted January 17, 2014 Shame on me! I started this thread and totally forgot to mention our "Ukrainian buddy" in our fraud sellers list
JapanX Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Don't forget about one year anniversary of this thread
