DavidS Posted June 6, 2013 Share Posted June 6, 2013 Another rare medal. This is the 2nd of four medals for Inner Mongolia Grand Councils. Petersen shows the one associated with the 3rd Grand Council (p172). Richard Catalano also has photographs (3rd Council) on his excellent site. This example obviously has had a bit of wear and tear over the last 75-ish years, but isn't seen very often. The second Mongolian Grand Council leader was Toujou Hideki or Hideki Tojo (東條英機) (1884-1948). The medal reads 第二议蒙古大會紀念 Mongolia 2nd General Assembly Commemorative 成吉思汗紀元 Genghis Khan Era 七三二年十月 732th year, 10th month, (October 1937) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
