Troy Tempest Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Good evening again gents! Would anyone be able to tell me what category this item falls in please? Or what it's proper title is please? I'm also wondering what sort of ribbon would have gone with it, standard black/white/red? 22 grams and 33mm in size. Thanks in advance!
Chris Boonzaier Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I have no idea what that is, but it does look interesting... somehow railway or transport?
Troy Tempest Posted October 23, 2013 Author Posted October 23, 2013 Hi Chris, I've seen a few besides mine. The script on the rear reads Grosses erleben macht ehrfürchtig und im Herzen fest, which I think means great experience makes awesomeness (?) and firmly within the heart? Dated 1916, but has 1914 on the front, maybe a speech he gave to Railway troops or workers? It's a nice looking piece, IMHO
Auseklis Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Hello, please look here: http://www.ma-shops.com/huesken/item.php5?id=9383&lang=en&curr=USDEUR http://www.ehrenzeichen-orden.de/kaiserreich/paul-von-breitenbach-medaille-eisenbahn-tochterhort.html http://www.lewin-funcke.de/fackellaeufer,-1916.html
speedytop Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Hi, here you can see all three different decorations together, a large medal (cased) and the two smaller medals with a needle or a ribbon: http://home.arcor.de/el-conejo/stift.htm The ribbon is black/white/red: The price from Hüsken is unbelievable unrealistic (medal with ribbon 75 Euro). Uwe
Troy Tempest Posted October 25, 2013 Author Posted October 25, 2013 (edited) Thank you very much Uwe and Auseklis, and I certainly didn't pay 75 euros for my Eisenbahn Töchterhort Ehrenzeichen 2. Klasse, 1914. I think it was about 15 euros, without ribbon. The large Plackette (?) version looks very impressive though. Edited October 25, 2013 by Troy Tempest
Troy Tempest Posted December 23, 2013 Author Posted December 23, 2013 Hi Uwe Have been on the lookout for the cased one, since you gave me those links, and I finally found one that was not at Hüsken level price. I paid 40 euros for my cased example.
speedytop Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Hi Troy, the price is acceptable. I told it Mr. Hüsken several times, that most of his prices are fantasy prices. Uwe
Troy Tempest Posted December 23, 2013 Author Posted December 23, 2013 Perhaps you should take over the business Uwe....
speedytop Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Take over all the parts with his prices? Uwe
