Unidentified Mecklenburg-Schwerin Militärverdienstkreuz ... Identify?

I can't remember if I've posted this photo before, but now that I have a better scanner, I thought I'd post it and see if we can confirm this Feldwebel has the Mecklenburg-Schwerin Militärverdienstkreuz? Also, maybe get an ID on his regiment?

The Wachtmeister is wearing the grey Litewka - shoulder boards look like Husaren-Regiment Nr.15 (but image is not clear enough)

HR 15 would make sense. The only hussar regiment to receive more awards of the Mecklenburg-Schwerin MVK was RHR 6 from the 17.RD. And I believe RHR 6 was formed by HR 15.

The chiefs of HR 15 until 1897 were the grand dukes of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, and after than Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands, whose husband was Heinrich Herzog zu Mecklenburg.
