Kind of like the patriotic pins. The EK 1914 appears to be stamped with a 6/9 or a G (see microsope pic). The 39 is unmarked the luftschutz is ring stamped 60. You are the guys in the know! Chris it is very squeaky, are you happy with the ring stamp as it is so good looking I would have questioned it had it not been in a box?
