The new 1/5 scale bust started. D'Hautpoul was a very famous general of cuirassiers, mortally wounded by a cannon ball at Eylau in 1807.

Cor, another nice one coming along Colin. I love these. Just great.

Be nice to see more pictures of the work in progress. Stuff and tools in use as the figure progresses.

Thanks gents. Spasm....you can see the WIP shots of it progressing here http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/general-of-division-dhautpoul.62361/

As this isn't a modelling site, I post fewer SBS shots here.

    Cheers

Yes, good site. They seem a lot more critical but then they all do this sort of stuff as well. I think you are probably your loudest critic, I am certainly more critical about my own work than anyone else (other than the admin staff obviously) - quite a lot still goes under the sander or in the bin.

I'll keep going to have a look on there to see the WIP pictures.

Two cool dudes there. I agree that one of them is looking a bit pale.

You need to eat more vegetables Colin.

Thanks gents. It was a challenging one as I have never sculpted armour before. Happy with the result though.

    Wow! This is fantastic work!

I paint 28mm miniatures and occasionally 1/35. Painting (and sculpting) in your scale is just worlds, worlds above in levels of accomplishment.

Brill! Those metallics look great. Takes a good photo too.

    Well done Colin absolutely superb.

May be worth taking a mould before you paint the next one.
