Recommended Posts

As confirmed by the owner of the document, who also owns some of the medals.

The guy who got these awards was named Maruyama Yasuo.
He was killed on a destroyer named Asanagi which sank in combat May 22, 1944, torpedoed
by the United States Navy submarine USS Pollack.

Yasuo, yes. Thanks. And you can be sure that if this is a posthumous award, the date recorded on the documents is the date he died or the date he was confirmed deceased.
