Jock Auld Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 (edited) Guys, Got this one yesterday. I have never seen one this large, it would fit a 38 to 48 inch waist, he must have been a proper fat lad! Note the attachments for the shoulder strap so it is pre-dates 1939 although this one has no markings that I can see. jock Edited September 20, 2014 by Jock Auld

lach470 Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Nice belt! There is a lot of leather there on a piece that size! Nice score! Rob
Paul R Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 It is a beautiful LW Belt. Do you have a tunic to put it on?
Jock Auld Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 For sure but it will go into a box as I have no room. jock
Bayern Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Hello : Erich v Manstein in his book Verlorene Siegen (lost victories ) saids that the shoulder belt was a piece of the leather equipment of the officers introduced by General Heye during his time at the front of the Heeresleitung (1926 1930 ) and the strap was called Hautana the name of a well known manufacture of brassieres . it was abolished during the war with Poland .
