hello, I am new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could help. I understand if this is might not be the right part of the forum! I just clicked swords.
we  have come across 2 replica swords ( i think ) they look like Talwar. only one has markings, but unsure of language or even what it says!!

could anyone help or point me in the right direction!

    Many thanks!

Welcome to the forum.  You have the correct section to get an answer to your question, however, I can't help with the translation.  It may take some time to get the answer as we don't have a lot of members collecting edged weapons, but please be patient as I am sure someone will assist you.

    Regards

    Brian

It' s possible that the script is a fancy version of Deva Nagri - the alphabet used to write Hindi and other Indian languages - but its rather hard to say.  Is it possible to see a photo of the tulwars, as that too might provide useful information.
