Actually, I’m pretty sure DK is the 25 year Long Service.

Can anyone make sense of the Turkish nomenclature? It doesn’t follow the German Rank Lists.

Unfortunately, the components of the "Group" are no longer completely together.  It looks like a family-decendant of Bruno von Rüdgisch may have decided to sell some things from the estate separately to maximize the money realized from the sale.   At this point, I would strongly encourage member "Ottomanmedals" to try and work out a deal to sell Rüdgisch's medal bar and his various Turkish awards to member "CRBeery" in an effort to reunite this grouping for the sake of posterity.  Simi.

Agreed, I'm getting tired of greedy people splitting up groups.

Hi Chet!

According to the fantastic and just released book “Die Order und Ehrenzeichen des Herzogtums Braunschweig von 1696 bis 1918” by Stephan Schwarz, we find that von Rüdgisch was awarded the knight’s first class cross of the Order of Henry the Lion in 1899; and at that time he held the post of Major Cavallerie Instructteur der Türkischen Armee. Another piece of the picture.

Best wishes,
