Chris Boonzaier Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 After many years of thinking, thinking, then thinking some more, I am finally getting around to Framing the wife's Great Grandfather..... This is the rough Layout, With a WW1 and WW2 Photo
Nicolas7507 Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Very lovely display. Great Ribbonbars Did all the medals come with the grouping, because the Volkpflege Medal had to be given back, when a higher grade was awarded. Nicolas

Nicolas Hi, with the exception of the Helmet star all are his. I think there may be a NSFK Flugzeugführerabzeichen für Motorflugzeuge missing, but otherwise the rest are right out of the Grandmothers Drawers. The Ribbon bars have both grades.

Brian Wolfe Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Good idea Chris and very well done. I have several medal groups with documentation and the medals are in one place and the documents in a fileing cabinet in another room. A note on the back of the group, of under the group in most cases, informs those who come after me, or a forgetful me, that there are document that go with the group. Obvious problem is that this can result in the paperwork getting separated from the medals, a problem you have managed to avoid. Well done. Regards Brian
Chris Boonzaier Posted April 26, 2017 Author Posted April 26, 2017 I used bigger photos, so I had to change things around a bit.....
