Chris, the medal appears to be real, with the photos shown. The price is just about there for retail..... are you the bidder? If so, congrats. Another one that if you're lucky, we might see once or twice in a year!

Well, burned out always lasts a week or two... but its like the Movie groundhog day..... I am always back at the start at some point.

Anyone know how many were awarded?

    Thanks

Hmm, does this mean the fires are re-lit already?

    :P

NICE citation for "coldblooded courage" in an exchange of Pass The Grenades with French trapped in a shell hole-- whom Unteroffizier Herrling finally got to surrender to him! 2,839 Silvers for WW1.

He was born 10 May 1892 in Stimpfach, W?rttemberg, and had been a butcher there. What he was doing in a Bavarian unit is rather a mystery, but if you ask Daniel Krause to check you may find Herrling also got something nice from his native land too.

Contacted the seller, these are from his own collection and were from the family, he has no idea what happened to the rest of the group.

Nice to have a complete "group" :-))
