Order of the Garter

I have received this Order of the Garter.

Maybe someone can tell me something about the age and is it a original?

It is a lovely looking piece indeed.  I'm afraid I can't comment on age or authenticity but I noticed that the sash seems to have a lighter blue section at the top.  Trick of the light or has it been added in to the darker ribbon?

Very nice however no sign of a hallmark which a lesser  George should possess. If gilt metal then probably theatrical.

Yes it’s gilt metal, like tombak. Not cheap made and polished decor.

It‘s from an old collection, and the ribbon has changed because of the sun.

If someone has more informations, please let me know.
