Unknown award of Admiral Karl Dick

Hello, does anyone recognize this award (circled red)? At first I thought it is the Iron Cross 1st Class, because of the ribbon of the 2nd Class he is wearing on the buttonhole. But after closer inspection it doesn't look like the Iron Cross.
