Help identifying unit pin on Luftwaffe M43 cap

This small badge is pinned to the side of a M43 LW cap.  I presume it’s some sort of unit pin?  Anyone know what it represents?  Thanks!

It´s the crest of Schleswig-Holstein in the Federal Republic of Germany as well as the crest of the then Prussian province of that name in the German Reich. So the owner of the cap was probably a native of that province.
