Model 37 Herr officers tunic

I recently acquired a nice Herr Captains tunic made by Kuhn & Nupnau of Munich There taylors made tunics in my opinion are some of the best.

The decorations along with the belt and agulett were found in the pockets. The name in the tunic appears to be to a Lt. V. Guerard Dated 6 December 1937. I have found a few soldiers with the name in WW1 but they died in the first war.

As for WW2 can you guys please help me with the soldiers identification and perhaps a unit. Also what sources do you personally use for research? Please find photos attached.
