GreyC
The Ehrenrangliste has him as Major at the outset of the war and as Oberst a.D. in 1926 with no other units given. GreyC Edited January 7, 2021 by GreyC
Nicolas7507
Thanks alot, GreyC! Could he have been active in the early Reichswehr in 1922/23? Nicolas
GreyC
That is well possible, you´d have to consult the Dienstalterslisten for that period. Maybe a member of the forum has access to them. I don´t, unfortunately. Often the officers were released from the service with one rank below and awarded the next higher one on exit. So you´d have to look for Oberstleutnants as well. The Prussian
Hello! I don´think so. Promotions: Leutnant 11.2.86 Oberleutnant 14.9.93 Hauptmann 27.1.00 Major 27.1.10 Oberstleutnant 27.1.15 He is not listed in the seniority list from january 1918. So he left the army before that date. Because the ranklist of honour did list him as "a.D." (off duty), I don´t think, he served in 1919 Edited January 8, 2021 by The Prussian
Nicolas7507
Thank you for the dates, Andreas! So he became Oberst on release as a last rank, as a last "gift". Best, Nicolas Edited January 8, 2021 by Nicolas7507
The Prussian
Not only as a gift. So he earned a better pension... The ribbon bar shows: EKII, RAO4, DA, Centenary medal, ÖFJ4, DD3 Am I right? Edited January 8, 2021 by The Prussian
Nicolas7507
Hi, Yes, that's right. As you have his promotion dates during the war, is there anything about his positions during that time? All the best, Nicolas
The Prussian
No, unfortunately not. In those lists he is listed in his peacetime regiment. The regimental history IR141 could help, but I don´t have it.
Nicolas7507
Alright, thank you very much for the help. There is a regimental history "Das Kulmer Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 141 im Weltkriege." I only found one copy for 290€, though.
