Graf Posted August 22, 2021 Share Posted August 22, 2021 Hi Ian, One reason could be that the original ribbon was damaged and a new, not the correct one, was "married" to the order. The war decoration was instituted in 1860 and the ribbon was still the same for both. There was never another ribbon for the imperial MVK.
