    Beret insignia of the French airborne troops

    Dear Gentlemen,

     

    The beret insignia of the metropolitan airborne troops in silver, worn by all paratrooper units from 1946 to 1958, no homologation.

    Since 1958 only by the Metropolitan Airborne Troops and the Legion.

    The beret insignia of the colonial airborne troops (BPC / RPC)* and then marine infantry (RPIMa)**  type I , homologation G 1535 on June 7, 1958, worn from 1958 to 1962.

    Replaced from 1962 to 1974 by a type II (addition of a gold circle), then worn again since 1974:

    *Bataillon de Parachutistes Coloniaux BPC /  Régiment de Parachutistes Coloniaux RPC

    **Régiment de Parachutistes d'Infanterie de Marine RPIMa

    The beret insignia of the airborne marine infantry troops (RPIMa)  type II (from 1962 to 1974) homologation G 1535 (same as type I)
