Yeohelmetguy Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Hello All, In addition to Victorian officer's home service helmet plates, I also have in my collection a number of Victorian officer's home service helmets and a number of Victorian and Edwardian period dragoon helmets. In this post are two more home service helmets from my collection to the Royal Regiment of Artillery, a helmet worn by an officer in a regular artillery field battery/regiment and another, very early 1878 pattern round front peak home service helmet to an officer of the Aberdeen City Artillery (Volunteers).... the round front peak was the original design for the helmet and lasted only about a year before being redesigned to the more familiar point front peak in an effort to improve the wearers forward vision... Cheers. David 1
