dond Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 (edited) Let's see what we can dig up in the way of Freicorps awards for Schlesien. First up is the Schlesien Eagle 1st class with swords. Edited January 29, 2006 by dond
Claudio Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Hi Don,Here's my brother's court mounted Silesian Eagle 2n Class. Interesting to notice the taylor's label on the back.Claudio
Claudio Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Here's my enameled Silesian Eagle first class... notice how clean the rivets are. Usually the constructions of the medals during the late 20ies and early 30ies wasn't so good, since the LDO's didn't exist and also because of the economical crisis.Ciao,Claudio
Claudio Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 ...and here's my 1st class with Swords. The construction of the pin on the back is typical of the 30ies.Ciao,Claudio
Claudio Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Here's a 1st class Silesian eagle (!!!!) mounted on a medal bar of a Schwarzburg's police officer... very odd, but quite nice! Ciao,Claudio
Claudio Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 My brother's first medal bar: this purchase of his dates back in the mid 80ies. It's quite nice to see to have such medal bars with its ribbon bar.
dond Posted January 29, 2006 Author Posted January 29, 2006 Great start guys but there has to be more out there. Where are the OAKs and OAKs with SWORDS?Don
