robert pierce Posted July 23, 2007 Share Posted July 23, 2007 This very badge is on page 162-3 in Mickael Tucker's book, and marked 'F&BL'. I know it's always been known as the 'unknown maker', and this marking is new to me too, but perhaps it's a clue as to who originally made it. Some say the mark could have been a distribution mark, stamped on the badge after production. But my argument to this is, have you ever tried to stamp a zinc badge? A tombak yes, being nonferrous metal. But zinc, it will break, crack. The zinc badge in the book is stamped 'F&BL'.
