Eagle: Wehrmacht Silver 02

Wehrmacht eagle for 4 or (when two silvers worn together) 18 and 4 years service in the army or navy. Worn after gold 12 years eagle for 12 and 4 pair. There are a number of minor variations in these 15mm size eagles which--if only we had the period catalogs--would be traceable to specific military effects/insignia manufacturers.

This one is intermediate between the large rounded wing types and the long low flat ones. Note the extremely long "toucan" beak.
