Size and shape were at the wearer's or effects retailer's discretion. NORMALLY on a ribbon bar, all the swords should be of the same matching design and size-- just hinted at here by the adjoining swords device.

But sometimes wearer's WANTED different shaped swords, mimicking whether the full sized awards' swords were "through the middle" or "perched on top." And sometimes they were just... weird.
