Wreath: Round Gold GODET Monstrosity
Feast your eyes on this dreadul bit of early 20th century fancy! This is a trademark fantasy device inexplicably used by the Godet company in Berlin for a whole range of awards
not a single solitary one of which had a wreath bearing ANY similarity to this oak-and-laurel nightmare.
It can occasionally be found green enamelled for use as a German device: see the "Wreath: Round Green Enamelled GODET" scan.
As soon as you see this weird wreath, you know It's By Godet (circa 1916-30)!
