Medal: Austro-Hungarian 1914 Red Cross
Austro-Hungarian 1914 Red Cross Medal with War Decoration
Although this is GOLD colored, like many BRONZE awards, the miniature device was apparently made in gilt for easier ability to tell what it was.
In this case, the green enamel wreath edging indicates a war award. Without the wreath, although made during the First World War, non-frontline Red Cross service was indicated.
Bronze medals were given to privates and junior NCOs. There are a pair of narrow red stripes at either edge "off scanner" on this white ribbon.
