Crescent: Turkish WW1 War Medal Star

This is another original period fantasy bar often found on GERMAN ribbon bars. There was no statutory justification for wearing a crescent on the ribbon of the WW1 Turkish War Medal star.

These can be found pointing any old way, but are usually oriented open side up, just as the crescent is found on the actual star.

German veterans and military effects outfitters were often quite... inventive when it came to dreaming up completely pointless embellishments to exotic foreign awards.
