    This was used for the WW1 Military Karl Friedrich Merit Medal, the highest bravery award bestowed by that state on enlisted ranks in WW1.

    Only 1,282 of these medals were awarded 1914-1918-- which is why it pays to know your Imperial ribbons! :jumping:
