Bavaria's ... NAVY ??????

This Oberarzt with the mourning band on his arm is wearing the miniature trapezoid style of ribbon bar normally only seen being worn by members of the Imperial navy!!!!!

Ribbons are

Bavarian Military Merit (Order 4th Class with Swords, presumably-- though none being worn here)

Iron Cross 2nd Class

Bavarian Army Jubilee Medal (probably the 1911 one, from his age and rank)
