Infantry Regiment 88 Offizier-Stellvertreter Willi Schrod sent this from Soisson on 20 June 1915.

Note that his Old Style ribbon bar's DARK blue long service ribbon has come out LIGHT, while the LIGHT yellow centers of his China 1900-01 Medal appear DARK due to the spectrum shift in old photo processing. From this combination of awards and his rank, he was probably a career NCO with continuous service since circa 1898/99.
