Flowers Campaigns: Police 02

The reason collectors refer to the "flowers campaigns" of 1938-39 is because the Germans referred to the annexations of Austria, the Sudetenland, and the Memel territory as "Blumenfeldz?ge."

And this jocular colloquialism mistakenly positioned these medals AS IF they were REAL "Feldzug" medals on many ribbon bars of the period.
