Gents,
On the eve of this thread marking its eighth anniversary, I'd like to thank everyone for your contributions that have made it the excellent resource it is. Judging from its 466 replies to date (first in that category) and position as the third most-viewed thread in this sub-forum, forum members and guests alike clearly value its content.Regards,

Gents,
More on Gospodin P. M. Naumov. Note the Russian readers' comments at the very bottom. Some podvignaroda documentation is offered in the article's final pages (pp. 8-11):

Gents,
Currently available at a well-known NYC-area dealer. A single/loose OGII as issued to a Full Cavalier. Price: $1,200.00.
There is an interesting backstory here. The OGI to this same Full Cavalier was stolen from another well-known NYC-area dealer back on August 8th, 2002. Last I knew, the stolen OGI was never recovered. At that time, the dealer offered a $100,000.00 reward for the recovery of the orders, medals, antiques and coins stolen during the armed robbery.

Gents,
A great image of an unidentified Guards Artillery Colonel with a nice mix of top-end Soviet orders and a U.S. Army-awarded Legion of Merit in the degree of Legionnaire.

Assuming the set is original, it was awarded to German Alekseyevich Alekseyev (1922-1977):
Some guys say that this 2311 was issued in 1985 as a replacement for 2nd 3rd class.
Seller ordered "probivka" ....
Let`s wait
BLUF: This appears to be a legitimate Category 7 (see post #1 this thread) Full Cavalier set.
Ferdinand,
I can confirm the serial numbers as accurate for the OGI and OGII. OGIII s/n is also likely good as its first four numbers correspond with Soviet archive material.
As for the orders themselves, both the OGI and OGII look good to me. Other than the s/n discrepancy (which I think is likely an admin recording error in his archive paperwork), the OGIII also looks good.
JapanX,
You are correct. He was erroneously awarded two OGIIIs. One of his two OGIIIs was exchanged for his OGI (s/n 2311) on August 19th, 1955.

Currently 29 full cavaliers of Order of Glory are known that were awarded with four Glories.
Gents,
As JapanX notes, a great number of Full Cavaliers were erroneously awarded extra OGs. Based on extensive research I've conducted for my planned book on Full Cavaliers, the number is significantly higher than 29. I plan to include this as well as other heretofore unknown Full Cavalier facts and statistics in my book.

Rogi,
While unusual, it is not uncommon to see this darker coloration in isolated locations of a given specimen. The Glory 1st in the attached images is within 200 serial numbers of s/n 2174 and exhibits this same dark blotching around the eyelet (both sides). For me, this patina is less of a concern as to s/n 2174's originality.
Again, just because s/n 2174 was an unissued piece doesn't mean it was handled with kid gloves once it left the mint's door.

Gents,
Another example of dark patina found near/around the eyelet. It's not as uncommon as one would think.

I have serious doubts that there will be any bidders for this one ...
Gents,
That was certainly the case for this recent well-known auction site "beauty."

Gents,
Currently available on the well-known auction site for a BIN asking price of $11,000.00. Before you rush off to log on to your PayPal account, however, note that like the Glory 1st in post #212 above, this is an unissued example. How it got out of the mint is an entirely different matter...

Gents,
See post #362 above. He's currently listing it as an open auction with no reserve. Opening bid is $9,500.00.

Yes, "gold checkers" and their only mark in history
Gents,
A truly indefensible (and unnecessary) mark indeed.

Absolutely love the Tractor Lenin photos. I've never seen one for real, even in a museum, only in photos and books. I have a more realistic chance of finding one of those Oso badges. Maybe not a good chance, but a lot better than finding a Tractor Lenin.
Thanks once again for sharing.
